Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Yankowy looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Yankowy looks for a takedown but Wasserman sprawls well.

Wasserman wants to get up but he can't break Yankowy's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Yankowy is looking for a triangle but Wasserman pushes his legs off easily.

Yankowy had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wasserman is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Yankowy Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wasserman's back instead.

Wasserman is in a bad position with Yankowy working for a choke. Wasserman manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wasserman avoids the head kick by Yankowy.
Wasserman tries to clinch up but Yankowy circles away and keeps his distance.
Jon Yankowy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Yankowy shoots for a double leg takedown but Wasserman sprawls well. He's pushed Yankowy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Yankowy tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Wasserman has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Yankowy uses from the top position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Wasserman won't allow Yankowy to pass to mount.
Wasserman throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Yankowy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wasserman is just riding it out for now. Yankowy eventually gives up the hold.
Yankowy is pressing down on Wasserman's thigh, looking to free his foot. Wasserman is holding on for now.
Wasserman is looking to escape.

Wasserman is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Wasserman connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Yankowy working for a triangle but Wasserman defends it easily.

Yankowy has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Wasserman should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Yankowy has tightened it up now! Wasserman should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
