Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sami Hyypia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julien Touret (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hyypia comes to the cage accompanied by Al Bowlly - Hang out the stars in Indiana. Touret has chosen La Valse d'Amelie as his entrance music. Julien Touret told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Touret bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A telegraphed right hand from Hyypia misses the target.

Hyypia cracks Touret with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Hyypia has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Touret to stand back up!

It looks like Julien Touret has been cut.

Touret gets tackled into the cage by Hyypia. Hyypia maintains the clinch.
A right hand to the body from Touret.
Hyypia gets through Touret's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Touret lands an elbow inside that Hyypia shrugs off.
Touret lands a body punch in the clinch.

Hyypia's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Touret misses with an uppercut.
Touret has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Hyypia tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Touret was well out of range. Poor timing from Hyypia.
Hyypia throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hyypia sets himself, and Touret steps forward looking for the clinch! Hyypia avoids it this time.
Touret lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Hyypia is breathing heavily.

Touret has closed the distance and engaged Hyypia in a clinch.
Touret tries to stall but Hyypia uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Hyypia tries to circle away but Touret has him pinned against the cage.

Touret pushes Hyypia back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Touret gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hyypia.
Hyypia dodges an elbow strike from Touret.
Hyypia's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

A frustrated look appears on Hyypia's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Hyypia is trying to break the clinch but Touret is controlling him.

Hyypia's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hyypia throws the left hand but Touret avoids the punch easily.
A telegraphed right hand from Hyypia misses the target.

Touret feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hyypia sprawling to the canvas! Hyypia rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Touret finish him?!

It looks like Sami Hyypia has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Touret keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Touret wants to counter with a clinch but Hyypia pushes him away.
Touret wants to clinch up but Hyypia keeps it at a distance.
and Touret counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Hyypia! He's just covering up as Touret starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
