Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Edgar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicholas Walter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Edgar's entrance music is Dostrescinco - Voluntad. A fine choice. Joseph Edgar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joseph Edgar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nicholas Walter!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walter fails with the takedown.
It looked like Edgar wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
A head kick misses from Walter.
Edgar lands a jab-cross combination.
Nice body punch from Edgar.
Walter throws a head kick but Edgar moves out of range.
Edgar is looking to counter punch.
Edgar misses with a double jab.
Edgar scores with the left hand. Walter knows he should have avoided that one.
Edgar keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Edgar lands with a hook. Walter tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Walter throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Edgar was covering up waiting for the punch and Walter finishes the takedown easily into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Walter wants to control from the top but Edgar keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Walter is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Edgar defends it well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Walter tries to pass to full mount but Edgar defends it.
Edgar has his hands clasped together around Walter's back. He's all about the action.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Edgar makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Edgar.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Edgar cracks Walter with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Edgar lands with an uppercut that bounces Walter off the cage and back into range.

A frustrated look appears on Edgar's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Walter tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Walter goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Edgar lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Edgar misses with a short punch on the inside.

Walter has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Edgar after a bit of a struggle.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Walter throws a low kick but it's checked well by Edgar.

Walter moves in looking to clinch but Edgar pushes him off.

Walter is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Edgar gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Edgar lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

It looks like Edgar has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Edgar swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

and Edgar counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Edgar clobbers Walter with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Walter tries to move into range but Edgar moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
No joy there for Edgar, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Edgar throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Walter sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Edgar thuds his right hand into Walter's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Walter fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Edgar is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Walter can do to turn this around?

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Walter moves forwards but Edgar connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Edgar bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Walter's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
A lull in the action here as Edgar stalls from top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Edgar throws an elbow but Walter slips to the side and avoids it well.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Nicholas Walter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Joseph Edgar showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Edgar, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
