The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kona misses with a takedown attempt
and Oneil counters with a stiff right hand.
Kona closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Kona is trying hard to land a takedown here. Oneil sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Oneil lands with a good body shot.

and Oneil counters with a right hand to the body.
We've been told by Oneil's head coaches at Valhöll GYM that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Kevin Oneil has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daigo Kona.

Oneil comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Kona looks winded!
Oneil throws an uppercut from hell that sends Kona clean off his feet! He's out cold! Oneil stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
