Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rey Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Killian Creed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rey Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Killian Creed!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Konstantin Menshow and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Creed misses with a double jab.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Johnson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Creed tries to break free but Johnson pushes him back against the cage.
Johnson dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Johnson looking to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Creed looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Creed jumps into guard, dragging Johnson to the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Creed kicks Johnson off and gets to his feet.

Creed closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Johnson wants to control but Creed is keeping busy.
Johnson is trying to get back to full guard.

Creed decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Johnson wants to clinch.

Creed clinches up against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Creed looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Johnson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Creed connects with a body shot that sends Johnson's belly button to the back.
Creed sizes up Johnson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Creed throws a low kick, looking for Johnson's leg but Johnson calmly moves out of range.
A combination from Creed does no damage.
Johnson is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Creed.
Johnson throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Johnson is trying to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Creed decides to stand up, so the ref orders Johnson to his feet.
Creed keeps the fight on the outside.

Creed closes the distance and clinches.
Creed tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Johnson avoids it.

Creed turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Creed manages to end up in side control.
Johnson can't do much from the bottom here.

Creed decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Creed feints a jab promting Johnson to slip. Creed then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Johnson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.


It looks like Rey Johnson has been cut.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Creed's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Creed duly obliges.
Creed wants to land a leg kick but Johnson is out of range.

Creed fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Johnson, pushing him back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Creed has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Johnson is trying to keep an underhook but Creed manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Creed is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Johnson is just riding it out for now. Creed eventually gives up the hold.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Killian Creed dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Rey Johnson's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Johnson drives through and clinches with Creed against the cage.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Johnson landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Johnson tries to pull guard but Creed holds him up against the cage and eventually Johnson drops back down to his feet.

A frustrated look appears on Creed's face as he tries to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Creed gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Creed has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Johnson just leaning against Creed, taking a breather.

Johnson keeps control of Creed as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Creed looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Creed gets control of Johnson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Creed will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Creed uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Creed shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Johnson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Johnson wants to control but Creed postures up.
Creed in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Johnson is looking for a sweep.
Johnson is working hard here to advance position.

Creed postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Creed staying calm.
Johnson tries to improve position but can't.
You can see the frustration on Johnson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Johnson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Johnson trying to control from half guard but Creed is working away.

Creed holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Johnson tries to stand but can't do so whilst Creed controls his leg.
Creed desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Creed is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Killian Creed has got the better of the ground game so far.
Johnson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Creed is controlling Johnson's position as best he can from this difficult position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Johnson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Killian Creed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Creed has taken the fight to the clinch.
Johnson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Creed is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rey Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A frustrated look appears on Creed's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Creed has had enough of the clinch but Johnson keeps him there for the moment.
Creed blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Killian Creed showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Johnson gets caught napping as Creed dives in and scores a takedown. Johnson manages to retain guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Johnson is on top in guard.

Johnson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Creed is proving hard to escape from.
Creed has control of Johnson's left arm, preventing Johnson from doing any damage.
Creed utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Creed pulls Johnson in close to prevent any damage.
Johnson wants to stand but Creed has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Creed pushes Johnson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Creed lands a nice hook to Johnson's body. Johnson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Johnson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - Creed circles away.

Creed feints and as Johnson raises his hands in defense, Creed changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Creed slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Johnson has an active guard here but Creed has managed to pass into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Johnson wants to control but Creed is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Johnson trying to get back to full guard but Creed takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Creed thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Johnson is looking to improve his position but Creed isn't that keen on the idea.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Johnson wants to control but Creed is having none of it.
Creed sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Creed jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Johnson manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Creed misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Creed tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Creed decides to stand up, so the ref orders Johnson to his feet.
Johnson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Creed.
Creed changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Johnson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Johnson is looking to clinch but Creed is avoiding it.
Creed swats away the attempt to clinch by Johnson.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Creed moves into the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
Killian Creed comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Creed has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
