Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cory Deegan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dav Rolling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Deegan comes into the arena with Land of Confusion blaring out of the sound system. Rolling has chosen Breathe by The Prodigy as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cory Deegan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dav Rolling!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deegan lands a slapping body shot.
A solid leg kick lands there for Rolling.
Deegan missing with a left hand there. Rolling was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Nice takedown defense from Rolling. No joy for Deegan on that attempt.
Deegan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rolling circles away quickly and effectively.
Deegan has been working on his balance at Tōshi, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Rolling.
Deegan misses with a low kick.

and Rolling counters with a nice body shot.
Rolling closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Deegan throws a head kick that misses.
Rolling throws out a counter right but Deegan avoids it with no problem.
Deegan throws a body shot but no joy.
Rolling looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Cory Deegan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Deegan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Deegan loads up on a big right hand but Rolling slips the punch.
Rolling lands with a thumping leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Deegan tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Rolling throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rolling takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Deegan swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

Deegan scores with a nice hook to the head.

Rolling gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Rolling uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Deegan.

Nice uppercut lands for Rolling. That snapped Deegan's head back.
Rolling's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Rolling duly obliges.

Rolling scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Deegan has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Deegan there as he acknowledges the shot.
Rolling misses with a straight left.
Deegan throws a head kick but Rolling moves out of range.
Deegan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rolling swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rolling is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Rolling connects with a single shot there.
Deegan pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Deegan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rolling as he avoids it easily.
Rolling has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Deegan's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Rolling connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Deegan scrambles back to his feet.
A jab lands there for Rolling.
Rolling throws a jab when Deegan was well out of range.
Rolling connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Rolling checks a low kick from Deegan.
Deegan falls off balance throwing a combination
and Rolling counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Deegan takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Rolling is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Deegan had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Deegan takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Rolling connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
A head kick misses from Rolling.

Deegan lands a jab to the head.
Rolling throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Deegan on the side of the head.
Rolling gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Rolling is rocked!
Deegan ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Rolling's jaw. Rolling's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Deegan does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Cory Deegan!
After winning the bout, Cory Deegan thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
