Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tanner Devlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Hatton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Devlin's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Encore. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Devlin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hatton tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Devlin tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Hatton counters with a nice double leg into side control. Devlin won't be happy with that.
Devlin wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hatton can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Devlin tries to stand but Hatton is controlling from the bottom.
Hatton is looking to stand up but Devlin isn't so interested in that idea.
Devlin would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Hatton misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

and Hatton counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Devlin!
Hatton lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Devlin down.
Hatton takes a little break here. Devlin wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Hatton has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
