Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dante Gael Roman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Crow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crow is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Eminem- Not Afraid. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dante Gael Roman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sam Crow!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Crow takes the fight into the clinch.

Roman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Roman closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Crow did well to prevent Roman getting side control.
Roman wants to pass to mount but Crow is defending the position.
Crow keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Roman passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Crow!
Roman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Roman looking to finish with strikes here!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Roman won't let Crow get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Crow can do anything to dispel that myth.
Roman looking to ground and pound but Crow is blocking nicely.
Crow's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Roman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
BOOM! Roman connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Roman wants to control the action but instead Crow gets a body lock and reverses into Roman's guard! Nice work!

Crow avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Crow is looking to stand up but Roman won't let him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Roman working for a triangle but Crow defends it easily.
Crow wants to stand and escape but instead Roman has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Roman postures up in Crow's guard and throws a big left but Crow blocks it.
Crow keeping moving, preventing Roman from controlling successfully.
Roman looking to sit in guard and control but Crow gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


That's three minutes gone in the round.
Crow trying to stand up but can't free himself from Roman's guard.
Crow wants to stand and escape but instead Roman has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.


That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Crow wants to get back to his feet but Roman is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Roman trying to control the position from guard on top but Crow is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Roman is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Crow wants to stand up but Roman is controlling him.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Roman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Crow swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dante Gael Roman dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Roman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
As Roman backs off Crow throws a huge counter combo but Roman manages to avoid it all.
A big right from Roman misses.
Roman feints a jab promting Crow to slip. Roman then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Crow slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
A combination from Crow does no damage.
Crow lands a right hook to the body.
Roman checks a leg kick.
Crow misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Roman takes the fight into the clinch.
Crow looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Crow tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Roman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Roman is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Crow can do to turn this around?
Roman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Crow manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Crow looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Roman fails in his attempt to clinch.
Crow misses with a series of wild punches.
Roman swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Crow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Crow shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Roman eats them both and turns towards Crow to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Crow throws a right and a left that Roman avoids nicely.
Roman dodges the punch combination from Crow.
Roman tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Crow counters with a three punch combo that has Roman backing up. Roman nods at Crow to acknowledge the strikes.


Roman is rocked!


It looks like Dante Gael Roman has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Roman throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Crow lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Roman circles away quickly and effectively.
Roman just misses with a punch to the body.
Crow is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Roman with a body shot.
Crow swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Roman counters with a stiff right hand.
Sam Crow seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Crow blocks a jab.
Roman shoots in looking for a takedown but Crow manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Roman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Crow throws a body kick that misses.
Roman misses with an uppercut.
Crow blocks a head kick by Roman.
Crow looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Roman lands a really nice looking cross but Crow seems unphased.
Crow wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Crow throws a series of punches but Roman moves out of range.
Crow misses with a double jab.
Roman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Crow.
Roman is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Crow dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Crow scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Oh Roman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Crow uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Roman.
Some wild striking there from Crow.
Roman seems to have got his legs back now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sam Crow!
Sam Crow decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
