Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Josh Vukovic!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryder shoots in looking for a takedown but Vukovic manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ryder's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Josh Vukovic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice jab there from Vukovic.
Vukovic goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like Sebastian Ryder has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Vukovic. Ryder does a little dance to reset his feet.

Ryder bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Ryder trying to control the action but Vukovic is working from the bottom.
Vukovic on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Ryder tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ryder thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Vukovic should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Ryder wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Vukovic, who protects the arm well.

Ryder working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Vukovic tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ryder wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Ryder tries to advance to mount but can't.
Ryder has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Vukovic!

Ryder is working for a guillotine from mount but Vukovic frees his head quite easily.

Ryder jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Vukovic manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Ryder wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vukovic keeps working.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Ryder is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Vukovic has escaped the position, nice work there.
Ryder happy to just control the position for now.

Ryder tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Ryder is trying to get an arm triangle but Vukovic is defending well.
You can see the frustration on Vukovic's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Ryder has knee on belly momentarily but Vukovic bucks him off and regains half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Ryder is looking for a kimura here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Vukovic scores with a three punch combo!
Vukovic lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Ryder is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Vukovic cracks Ryder with an open hand slap.
A big left from Vukovic misses.
Vukovic scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.


Ryder is rocked!
Josh Vukovic seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Vukovic fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Ryder to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Ryder looks to clinch but Vukovic throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Ryder taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Josh Vukovic!
