Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dimon Boets (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eduard Syroviy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boets comes to the cage accompanied by Штиль. Syroviy is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Три Буквы . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 33 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dimon Boets!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eduard Syroviy!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Ivan Kurochkin and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boets on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Boets bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Boets connects with the punch.
Syroviy walks into a stiff left hand from Boets.
Boets throws a right and a left that Syroviy avoids nicely.
Boets takes one to the chin there.
Syroviy throws a head kick but Boets moves out of range.
Boets tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Syroviy defends well and Boets ends up having to push Syroviy into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Boets misses with a body shot.
Boets throws a series of strikes that have Syroviy backpedaling.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Boets walks into a jab.
Syroviy with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Boets swings widly with a right hand
and Syroviy counters with a good, hard body kick but Boets shrugs it off.
Dimon Boets seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boets shoots in but no luck this time.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Boets is defended easily by Syroviy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dimon Boets. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Syroviy feints and then cracks Boets's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Boets down.
A jab from Syroviy misses.
Boets has been working on his balance at St Petersburg MMA Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Syroviy.
Syroviy lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Syroviy showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Boets.
A chopping leg kick lands by Syroviy.
No joy there for Boets, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Boets throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Syroviy.
Boets keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Syroviy swings for the body but Boets moves out of range.
Syroviy lands with a nice combination. Boets backs away looking to recover.


It looks like Dimon Boets has been cut.
Syroviy lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Syroviy jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Boets ducks right into an uppercut from Syroviy.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Syroviy fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Boets manages to avoid it.
Boets takes a swing at Syroviy's ribcage but misses.
Syroviy looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Syroviy moves away from the strike by Boets.
Syroviy on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Syroviy sizes up Boets with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Boets lands a right hook to the body.

Boets bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Boets connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Syroviy some visible discomfort.
Boets postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Boets tries to score with some ground and pound. Syroviy controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Boets looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Syroviy is looking to regain half guard here but Boets keeps moving and retains side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ground and pound from Boets seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Syroviy is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Boets asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Boets working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Syroviy takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Boets is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Syroviy has escaped the position, nice work there.
Boets tries to score with some ground and pound. Syroviy controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Syroviy managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Boets.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Boets is looking to take a break and control but Syroviy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
You can see the frustration on Syroviy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dimon Boets will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Dimon Boets's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Boets changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Syroviy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Boets trying to control the position but Syroviy is working away.
Boets lands a nice forearm strike.
Boets cracks Syroviy with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Boets is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Syroviy can do to turn this around?
Boets looking to control but instead Syroviy has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Syroviy taking some punishment here, with Boets in his half guard.
Boets is looking to advance position but Syroviy won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Boets seems to be working for a kimura but Syroviy defends the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boets takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Syroviy makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Syroviy.
Boets pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Syroviy is keeping the position for now.
Boets trying to control but Syroviy is working from the bottom.
Boets throws a big right hand that misses.

Boets working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Boets wants to control from the top but Syroviy keeps moving.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Syroviy is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Syroviy trying to keep a closed guard but Boets is proving a slippery customer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Syroviy slips under a jab.
Syroviy misses with a low kick.
Boets shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Syroviy as he jumps to the side.
Boets throws a right and a left that Syroviy avoids nicely.
Eduard Syroviy seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Boets cracks Syroviy with a right hand to the side of the head.
Syroviy throws out a powerful jab.
Syroviy cracks Boets with an open hand slap.
Boets dives in and grabs Syroviy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Syroviy pushes down on Boets's head and hops out.
A little jabbing left from Syroviy on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
A left and a right from Boets both land. Nice combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Syroviy ducks right into an uppercut from Boets.
Boets dives in for a single leg takedown but Syroviy sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dimon Boets. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Syroviy catches Boets with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Boets tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Syroviy paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Syroviy is looking to slow Boets down with leg kicks.
Syroviy stuns Boets with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
A swing and a miss from Syroviy.
Boets shoots and misses
and Syroviy makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Boets changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Syroviy tries to avoid it but Boets manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Syroviy to the ground. Syroviy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Syroviy moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Syroviy tries to land a front kick but Boets steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Boets with a poor takedown
and Boets takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Syroviy blocks a jab.
Syroviy scores with a jab.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Boets throws a looping overhand right but Syroviy ducks down to avoid it.
Syroviy displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Boets throws out the jab.

Syroviy lands a big head kick that sends Boets tumbling to the mat! Syroviy takes a step backwards and waves Boets back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Boets is rocked!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Syroviy. Boets shrugs it off though.
Oh Boets is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Syroviy lands an uppercut, right on the button! Boets tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Eduard Syroviy!
During a confident post fight interview, Eduard Syroviy thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
