Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Goff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gorg St Pier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). St Pier has chosen Remember the name as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Gorg St Pier has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gorg St Pier!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by St Pier or perhaps it was just good defense by Goff, which made it look bad.
Goff swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
St Pier is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
St Pier moves out of range of the body kick.

St Pier closes the distance and clinches.
Goff fails to pull the fight into his guard.
St Pier wants a takedown but no success here.
Goff lands a right hand.

Goff breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
St Pier connects with a nice looking jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Goff tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. St Pier manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
St Pier tries to clinch but Goff moves out of range.

St Pier scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Goff wants to improve his position but St Pier is controlling well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Goff pushes St Pier off looking to stand but St Pier dives back in and keeps control.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Goff tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

St Pier gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

St Pier rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Goff moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Goff jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as St Pier walks away with a smile on his face. Goff gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Goff is breathing heavily.
St Pier shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Goff sprawls well. Goff wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. St Pier gets slowly back to his feet.

St Pier closes the distance and clinches.
Goff is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but St Pier is defending well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

St Pier has hold of one of Goff's legs. Goff is fighting the takedown attempt but St Pier gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
St Pier stays in close to Goff's body and controls the position.
Goff can't keep his opponent in guard - St Pier advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gorg St Pier dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



St Pier closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
St Pier landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
St Pier is looking for a takedown.

St Pier manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Goff would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Goff gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

St Pier swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

St Pier moves into the clinch.
Gorg St Pier seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
St Pier crunches a lovely knee into Goff's ribcage.
St Pier has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Goff avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

St Pier ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. St Pier no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Goff tries to stand but St Pier is controlling from the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
St Pier is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
St Pier tries a low kick but Goff avoids it.
It looked like Goff was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Goff fails with a takedown attempt.

St Pier shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Goff is trying to defend but St Pier finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
St Pier drops an elbow to the side of Goff's head.

St Pier looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Goff with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
St Pier working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Gorg St Pier has got the better of the ground game so far.
St Pier wants to take a breather but Goff is having none of it.

Goff appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

St Pier is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

St Pier keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Goff's efforts to push away.

Goff is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but St Pier is keeping busy.

Gorg St Pier showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Goff is trying to force a seperation but St Pier has the dominant position.
Goff is trying to pull guard but St Pier has him pressed against the cage.

St Pier's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Goff looking for a sweep. Not yet Goff, not yet.
St Pier controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Goff looking to hit a scissor sweep but St Pier is one step ahead there.

Goff escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. St Pier gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
St Pier must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

St Pier postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Goff is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of St Pier, into his guard.

St Pier has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Goff has passed into side control.

St Pier wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Goff wants to stand but St Pier is controlling his arm.
St Pier tries to get back to half guard but can't.
You can see the frustration on St Pier's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

St Pier pushes Goff away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Goff gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Goff will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Goff decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Goff misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from St Pier.
Goff circles away from the clinch attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from St Pier is defended easily by Goff.
St Pier just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromGoff.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

St Pier shoots in for a takedown but Goff shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
St Pier tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Goff swivels and escapes.
Goff throws a counter high kick but St Pier was just alert enough to avoid it.

Goff throws a sloppy head kick and St Pier moves out of range easily.
Goff swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
St Pier is looking to clinch but Goff is avoiding it.

Christopher Goff has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Gorg St Pier is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

St Pier has picked Goff up - he's going for a ride! St Pier dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Gorg St Pier.
Well St Pier has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
