The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matkap misses with a takedown attempt - Vinson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
As Matkap looks to move away, Vinson throws a big counter combo bu Matkap just gets out of the way.
Hasan Matkap seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Matkap throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Vinson stuffs the takedown attempt from Matkap. Matkap gets slowly back to his feet.
Vinson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Matkap looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Vinson went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Matkap stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vinson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Matkap is pushing down on Vinson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Vinson is fighting to maintain full guard but Matkap has managed to sneak the leg through.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Matkap is defended easily by Vinson.
Vinson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
