PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Robb Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Sioldster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sioldster comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Chaos - Burgatory kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Sioldster!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stark swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A clash of legs there as Sioldster blocks the low kick.
Stark misses with a head kick.
Stark lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sioldster's sensitive parts.
Stark throws a low kick but Sioldster avoids it.
Sioldster jabs at Stark's body.
Sioldster lands a nice looking body shot.
We've been informed that Sioldster has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Stark displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sioldster throws out the jab.

Sioldster throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Sioldster wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Sioldster lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Sioldster works the jab nicely.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The fighters circling - Sioldster throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Stark throws the kick towards the body but Sioldster avoids it.
A head kick from Stark lands but Sioldster takes it in his stride.
Stark uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sioldster.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stark tries to clinch up but Sioldster circles away and keeps his distance.
Stark avoids the head kick by Sioldster.
Sioldster throws a head kick but Stark moves out of range.
Stark has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Sioldster dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Sioldster cracks Stark with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Sioldster has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Stark to stand back up!

Stark is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sioldster lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Stark up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Sioldster from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Stark's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mike Sioldster!
After winning the bout, Mike Sioldster thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
