Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Doug Pattersson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fidel Brasto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pattersson comes to the ring accompanied by The Banana song Peel Banana. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Doug Pattersson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fidel Brasto!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brasto wants to clinch but Pattersson slips to the side
and Pattersson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Pattersson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brasto pinned against the ropes. Brasto gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Brasto steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Pattersson.
Some wild striking there from Brasto.
Pattersson swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
A punch lands to the side of Brasto 's head but he takes it in his stride.

It looks like Fidel Brasto has been cut.

Pattersson drops Brasto with a nice combination! Pattersson dives into Brasto's guard, looking to finish!

Brasto pushes Pattersson off looking to stand but Pattersson dives back in and keeps control.

Brasto has hold of Pattersson's hands but Pattersson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Brasto wants to improve his position but Pattersson is controlling well.
Pattersson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brasto does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Brasto has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pattersson is working away from the top position though.

Pattersson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Pattersson connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Pattersson throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Pattersson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Brasto tries to hold on but Pattersson postures up.
Pattersson lands a big elbow.
Pattersson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Brasto looks a forlorn figure.

That has opened up Fidel Brasto's cut even more.
The referee warns Brasto that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Brasto is rocked!

The cut above Fidel Brasto's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Fidel Brasto's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

An out of breath Doug Pattersson thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
Fidel Brasto was interviewed post fight and said 'He was better then me today but I'll be back soon!!'.
