Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Emil Hooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kopp Jon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Emil Hooper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kopp Jon!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Joseph Jones and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jon shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Jon keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Jon's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Let's hope that Jon has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jon is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Hooper gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Jon counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hooper!

Jon decides to stand back up. Jon steps back and let's Hooper get back to his feet.

Jon closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hooper's guard.
Jon not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jon passes Hooper's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Hooper might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jon wants to take Hooper's back here but Hooper is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Jon tries to bum rush Hooper with a series of wild strikes but Hooper uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hooper throws a quick counter head kick but Jon was just out of range.

Jon slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Hooper wants to stand up but Jon is controlling him.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Hooper gets caught flat footed, as Jon shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kopp Jon has got the better of the ground game so far.

Jon takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Hooper is looking to escape.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jon in particular looking to stall.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Hooper tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jon swivels and escapes.
Jon let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Hooper swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Jon counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jon.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kopp Jon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Jon tries to score with a low kick but Hooper moves his leg out of the way.

Jon looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

The adventures of Jon the control monster continue. Boring.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hooper pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Hooper is looking to land body kicks.
Hooper wants to slow Jon down by chopping away at his legs.
Despite the aggression on Jon's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Jon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Hooper looking for a sweep. Not yet Hooper, not yet.
Jon forces his way into half guard.
Jon slows the pace down in half guard.
Jon trying to mount his opponent but Hooper defends it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hooper has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jon is working away from the top position though.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Jon looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Jon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hooper looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Jon works to advance to full mount. Hooper defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Emil Hooper has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kopp Jon is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
More stalling from Jon.

Kopp Jon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
