Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lucas Bane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
20 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Damian Hardacre!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bane.
Hardacre keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hardacre displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bane.
Hardacre with a nice cross.
It looks like Lucas Bane has been cut.
Bane digs a good hook to Hardacre's body.
Bane throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Hardacre counters with a nice low kick that buckles Bane's knee momentarily.
A low kick from Bane is predictable there
enabling Hardacre to counter with a crisp jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hardacre throws a jab but it's blocked by Bane.
Hardacre throws a right and a left that both miss.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hardacre.
Bane throws a head kick that Hardacre semi-blocks.
Bane swings for the body but Hardacre moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hardacre drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Hardacre keeps Bane at a distance using the push kick.
Bane is breathing heavily.
Bane scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hardacre doesn't seem bothered though.
Bane lands with a good body shot.
Bane tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hardacre defends well and Bane ends up having to push Hardacre into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucas Bane. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Damian Hardacre is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bane lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hardacre's sensitive parts.
Bane rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Hardacre to counter with a crisp jab.
Bane swings widly with a right hand
and Hardacre scores with a counter punch that sends Bane to the canvas! Hardacre smells blood - he's punishing Bane with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Bane has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
