Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Micheal Alvarez!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sheppards shoots for a takedown but Alvarez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sheppards throws a body punch but Alvarez moves out of range.
Sheppards missing with a left hand there. Alvarez was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Sheppards misses with an uppercut. Alvarez saw that one coming.
Alvarez scores with a leg kick.
Sheppards throws a shot to the body.
Sheppards smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.


It looks like Micheal Alvarez has been cut.
Alvarez takes a jab right on the kisser.
We've been told by Sheppards's head coaches at St Petersburg MMA Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Sheppards throws out a powerful jab.
