PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gaius Julius Caesar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thunder Horse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caesar kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Warriors of the World. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caesar tries to clinch up.
Horse unleashes a big counter combination but Caesar bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Horse dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Horse pushes Caesar off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
A punch lands to the side of Horse 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Horse ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Caesar moves away.
Caesar shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Horse sprawls well. Horse wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Caesar gets slowly back to his feet.
Caesar tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Caesar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Caesar is nestled in close to Horse, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Caesar controls Horse momentarily but Horse frees himself.
Horse wants to stand but Caesar has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Horse stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Caesar swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Horse chips away with some ground and pound.
Horse would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Horse wanted to stand there but Caesar had control of the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Caesar tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Horse defends well and Caesar ends up having to push Horse into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Horse throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Caesar on the side of the head.
Caesar throws a body shot but no joy.

Horse on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Caesar doesn't manage to clinch there - Horse circles away.

Horse scores with the left hand. Caesar knows he should have avoided that one.
Caesar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Horse tries to avoid it but Caesar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Horse to the ground. Horse escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Horse takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Caesar swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Horse is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

A close round but Thunder Horse will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Horse jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Horse swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Caesar seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Caesar shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Horse sprawls well. Horse wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Caesar gets slowly back to his feet.
Horse leaves Caesar with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A little jabbing left from Horse on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Caesar throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Horse sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Horse swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Horse paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
No joy there for Horse, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Horse throws a one two combo.
Horse throws a series of punches but Caesar avoids them all with ease.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Horse.
Horse has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Caesar swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Horse throws a predictable looking body shot
and Caesar counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Caesar shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Horse sprawls well. Horse wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Caesar gets slowly back to his feet.

Horse thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Caesar if he has to take too many more of those.

Caesar fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Horse to the ground. Caesar is now in Horse's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Thunder Horse showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Caesar swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Horse goes for a takedown in the clinch but Caesar prevents it.
Horse is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Caesar gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Caesar wants the takedown. Horse is fighting it off but Caesar persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Horse's guard against the cage.

The fighters are battling for position here. Caesar manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Caesar shoots in looking for a takedown. Horse tries to sprawl out of it but Caesar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Horse manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Caesar sets himself, and Horse steps forward looking for the clinch! Caesar avoids it this time.
Thunder Horse is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Caesar takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

and Horse connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Thunder Horse comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Horse winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
