Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anakoni Kai and Aleksey Zulughanov. Kai comes to the cage accompanied by Firestarter. Zulughanov has chosen Geto Boys - Damn It Feels Good To Be A Gangsta as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zulughanov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kai manages to avoid it.
Aleksey Zulughanov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zulughanov misses with a straight left.
Kai lands a nice hook to Zulughanov's body. Zulughanov takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Zulughanov thuds a left hand into Kai's body.
Kai's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Zulughanov connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kai scrambles back to his feet.

Kai looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kai dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Zulughanov. That did some damage!

We've been informed that Zulughanov has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Kai uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Zulughanov.

Kai gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Kai swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Zulughanov has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Kai lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Zulughanov backwards.

Kai throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Zulughanov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kai checks a leg kick.
Kai lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kai tries to clinch but Zulughanov moves out of range.
Zulughanov throws a hook but Kai blocks it.

Zulughanov fakes the leg kick and cracks Kai in the body.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
A decent looking cross lands there for Kai.

Kai changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Kai checks the leg kick nicely there.
Zulughanov takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Zulughanov.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Zulughanov has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Zulughanov there as he acknowledges the shot.

A close round but Aleksey Zulughanov will probably get the nod.

and Kai makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Zulughanov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kai has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
A decent looking cross lands there for Kai.

Zulughanov is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Zulughanov with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kai to score with a decent uppercut.

Zulughanov is rocked!
Kai drops Zulughanov with a huge uppercut! Zulughanov drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Kai is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anakoni Kai!
During a confident post fight interview, Anakoni Kai thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
Aleksey Zulughanov spoke after the fight, saying 'I'm sorry Artem.'.
