Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chase Dunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denver Washington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chase Dunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Denver Washington!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Washington clinches up against the cage.
Washington drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Dunn gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Washington prevents the takedown attempt.
Dunn misses with a body punch.
Dunn swings wildly with an uppercut but Washington uses good head movement to avoid it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Washington has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Washington tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Washington jumps guard and drags Dunn to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Washington not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Dunn throws an elbow that misses. Washington uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dunn's guard. Nice move by Washington!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Washington thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Washington is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dunn knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Dunn is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at LOD: Contenders, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Washington throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Washington goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Dunn rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Washington's guard! Nice work there by Dunn!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dunn stands up over Washington, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Dunn throws a big elbow that misses.
Dunn has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Dunn wants to control from the top but Washington keeps moving.

Dunn is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Dunn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Washington swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Washington keeping moving, preventing Dunn from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dunn controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Washington closes the distance and pushes Dunn back into the cage.
Dunn gets underhooks to prevent Washington's takedown attempt.
Chase Dunn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Denver Washington.

Dunn drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Washington is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Dunn to keep the fight standing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Washington has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Dunn throws a big right hand that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Horrible takedown attempt by Washington or perhaps it was just good defense by Dunn, which made it look bad.
Washington closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dunn circles away.
Dunn connects with a right hand. Washington shakes it off.

Washington is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Washington fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Washington throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dunn was covering up waiting for the punch and Washington finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Washington is nestled in close to Dunn, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Dunn wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Washington lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Washington throwing strikes here but Dunn is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Washington throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Dunn because Washington loaded up on that one.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dunn bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Washington is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Washington has his feet on Dunn's thighs here. He's pushed Dunn off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Dunn screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
