PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eduardo Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moore's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Frank Klepacki - March to doom. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Alvarez thuds a left hand into Moore's body.
Moore explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Alvarez on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

and Alvarez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Moore tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Alvarez working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Alvarez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Moore moves away.
A quick step to the side and Moore tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
