The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moshington works over Wates's head and body with a nice combination.
Moshington stuffs the takedown attempt from Wates. Wates gets slowly back to his feet.
Moshington throws a series of punches but Wates moves out of range.
Moshington circles away from the clinch attempt
and Wates takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Moshington stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Moshington wants it to stay on the feet.
Moshington throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
George Moshington seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Moshington throws a one two combo.
Wates has his takedown stuffed
and Moshington counters with a left to the body.
George Moshington has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Edward Wates.

Wates tries to clinch but Moshington is having none of it.

Moshington feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Watess jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Wates gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Moshington.

Wates takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Moshington lands with a nice combination. Wates backs away looking to recover.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Wates wants to break the clinch but can't.
Moshington lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Wates backwards.
Moshington working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Wates tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Moshington just stands there and leans against the cage.

A frustrated look appears on Wates's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Moshington breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wates ducks right into an uppercut from Moshington.

Wates on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Moshington drops Wates with a big left hand! Wates is injured, injured bad! Moshington jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
