The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pride gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Obama breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pride takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Obama gets caught napping as Pride dives in and scores a takedown. Obama manages to retain guard.
Pride pushing down on Obama's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Obama tries to get to full guard but Pride has control of the leg.
Pride thows a huge punch but Obama dodges it nicely.

Pride stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Obama to get to his feet.
Obama lands a jab to the nose.
Pride throws a push kick but Obama slaps the foot to one side.
Obama has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

I was talking to Pride's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Pride keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Obama avoids the body shot from Pride.
As Pride backs off Obama throws a huge counter combo but Pride manages to avoid it all.
Pride takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Sloppy strikes from Obama. Those never looked like landing.
Pride tries to bum rush Obama with a series of wild strikes but Obama uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Barack Obama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Obama digs a good hook to Pride's body.
Obama is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Pride tries to score a power double leg takedown but Obama sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pride somewhat.
Obama throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pride stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Obama throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Pride on the side of the head.
Obama cracks Pride with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Obama unleashes a big counter combination but Pride bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Obama takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Obama throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Obama feints a jab promting Pride to slip. Obama then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Pride slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Pride is rocked!
Obama dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Oh Pride is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pride throws a head kick but Obama moves out of range.
No joy there for Obama, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Barack Obama is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
