Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ville Marakatti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Van Roost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marakatti comes to the cage accompanied by Beyoncé - Halo. Van Roost is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Cypress Hill - How I Could Just Kill A Man. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Van Roost!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Alyssa Summers and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marakatti shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Van Roost's guard.

Marakatti is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Van Roost is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Van Roost has escaped and now he's on top!
I've been told that Van Roost has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.
