The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith moves into the clinch successfully.
Smith misses with a knee strike.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Todd has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Smith is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Smith successfully pulls guard.
Todd is looking to work some ground and pound but Smith has wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Todd tries to land a front kick but Smith steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Todd accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Todd is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Smith is defending well though. Todd let's go of the attempt for now.

Even with his hooks in, Todd manages to miss with strikes from the back.

Smith tries to hold on but Todd pushes him away.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Todd shoots in but no luck this time.
Smith throws out a counter right but Todd avoids it with no problem.
Smith looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Todd checks a leg kick.
Smith tries a head kick but it misses.

Todd shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Smith takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Todd connects with a nice short shot to Smith's temple.

Todd is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Todd takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Smith tries to get to full guard but Todd has control of the leg.
Todd is trying to control the action in half guard but Smith is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Smith closes the distance and clinches.

Todd tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Smith just stands there and leans against the cage.

I would just about give that final round to Trenton Smith.
