Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roger Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Minard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Roger Machado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ricky Minard!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Winston Alpacca and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minard throws a head kick but Machado moves out of range.
A left and a right from Minard both land. Nice combination.
Machado closes the distance and clinches up with Minard, looking for a takedown. Machado pushes Minard against the cage but Minard circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Minard keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Machado shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Minard's guard.
Machado thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Machado trying to control but Minard is working from the bottom.
Machado engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Machado drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Machado seems to have locked his on tight now - Minard screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Machado, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Roger Machado!
A less than humble Roger Machado misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
