Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ranky Scorpion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hades Hug (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Scorpion might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sympathy For The Devil. Hug has chosen Animal I Have Become as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

27 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hades Hug!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hug lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hug.
It looks like Ranky Scorpion has been cut.
Scorpion scores with a nice strike.
Scorpion dodges the punch combination from Hug.
Scorpion scores with a body shot.
Hug drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hug wants to control from the top but Scorpion keeps moving.
Hug gets to his feet. Scorpion looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Hug misses with a two punch combination.
It looked like Scorpion was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Hug.

Hades Hug seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Scorpion. Hug does a little dance to reset his feet.

Hug rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Scorpion moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Scorpion drops Hug with a left right combo! Scorpion follows him down to the ground into side control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Scorpion is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hug is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Scorpion wants to control but Hug is keeping him busy.
Scorpion misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Scorpion is trying to ground and pound but Hug uses the momentary lack of control by Scorpion to regain half guard.
Scorpion throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Scorpion is looking to stall here but Hug recovers full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Scorpion postures up in Hug's guard and throws a big left but Hug blocks it.
Scorpion thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Scorpion missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Scorpion is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Montreal Fighter's Gym (4.5* Sparring) that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Scorpion throws a big elbow that misses.
Hug looking to control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Hug is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Scorpion lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hug circles away quickly and effectively.
Hug ducks right into an uppercut from Scorpion.
Scorpion throws a series of punches but Hug moves out of range.
Hug tries to bum rush Scorpion with a series of wild strikes but Scorpion uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ranky Scorpion dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Hug throws a right hand that Scorpion ducks under and follows up with a left that Scorpion also avoids with ease.
Hug shoots in looking for a takedown. Scorpion tries to sprawl out of it but Hug keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Scorpion manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hug misses with a double jab.

Scorpion tries to clinch up but Hug circles away and keeps his distance.

Scorpion comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Scorpion creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Scorpion controlling the position here and throwing strikes from the top. Nice elbow lands there... and another... and another... oh, Hug is out! Scorpion gets to his feet and admires his work - nice finish!
