Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andrey Danilov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Hoop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Danilov's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Mobb Deep - Shook Ones Part II. John Hoop has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danilov checks a leg kick.
An attempted straight right counter from Danilov misses the target.
Hoop throws a looping overhand right but Danilov ducks down to avoid it.
Danilov throws the left hand but Hoop avoids the punch easily.
Hoop throws a body shot but no joy.
John Hoop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Danilov counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hoop thinking.

Danilov tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Hoop manages to circle out of the way.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hoop throws a chopping leg kick but Danilov manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
A counter left hand to the body from Danilov misses its target.
Danilov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hoop manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Hoop tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Danilov jumps guard but Hoop stands there with Danilov around his waist. Danilov gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Hoop postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Danilov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hoop gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Danilov has his foot on Hoop's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hoop works his way back into a safe position though.
Hoop is looking to stand up but Danilov won't let him.
Hoop really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Danilov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Danilov pulls Hoop in to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hoop wants to stand but Danilov has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hoop connects with a couple of short punches.
Hoop has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Danilov is proving hard to escape from.

Hoop wants to get up but he can't break Danilov's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Hoop has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Danilov to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Hoop is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Danilov pulls down on the head and he's put Hoop to sleep! This one is all over!
