The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Anstey fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Noonan avoids it really well and circles away.

Anstey closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Noonan is looking for a sweep.

Anstey is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Noonan will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Anstey is looking to take a break and control but Noonan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Noonan thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Noonan is trying to ground and pound but Anstey uses the momentary lack of control by Noonan to regain half guard.

Anstey wants to improve his position but Noonan is controlling well.

Noonan slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Noonan has hold of Anstey's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Anstey tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Noonan cranks the arm and Anstey screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Anstey, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
