And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alan Dean!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dean manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Machado on his heels. He'll look to pass Machado's guard now, I'm sure.

Machado has an active guard here but Dean has managed to pass into half guard.
Machado is not content to let Dean control the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dean seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Machado does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Machado wants to improve his position but Dean is controlling well.
Dean is looking to take a break and control but Machado is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dean looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Machado with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Dean wants to stand but Machado has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Roger Machado tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
