Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rami Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frey Grabovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harris comes to the cage accompanied by Jedi Theme Music. Frey Grabovski is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rami Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Frey Grabovski!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Harris throws a body shot but no joy.
Grabovski throws a counter combo.
Harris throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Harris scores with a punch to the head.
Harris tries to land a front kick but Grabovski steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Grabovski drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Harris defends it well.
Harris is looking to clinch but Grabovski is avoiding it.

I was talking to Harris's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Harris is pressed up against the cage. Grabovski has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Harris down to the mat. Harris avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Grabovski tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Harris lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Harris throws a chopping leg kick but Grabovski manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Harris tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Grabovski is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Harris ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Grabovski moves away.

Grabovski fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Harris sprawls well initially but Grabovski persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Grabovski passes easily into side control. Nice work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Grabovski tries to move into full mount but can't pass Harris's legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Harris's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Harris is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Harris manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Harris is looking for a sweep. Grabovski is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Grabovski in particular looking to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rami Harris dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Grabovski misses with a takedown attempt - Harris sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Grabovski has Harris pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Grabovski pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Harris tumbling to the mat - Grabovski dives into Harris's guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Harris, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
