Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Adam McQuaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Tucker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tim Tucker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam McQuaid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tim Tucker!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tucker looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
McQuaid is not content to let Tucker control the position.

Tucker is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
McQuaid is looking to improve his position.
Tucker stops McQuaid from getting back to his feet.
McQuaid knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tucker on the ground.

McQuaid is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

McQuaid goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Tucker escapes and is now in half guard on top.
McQuaid is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Tucker wants to free his trapped foot but McQuaid is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Tucker wants to lay and pray for a moment but McQuaid keeps working.

McQuaid isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Tucker stacks McQuaid on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Tucker!

McQuaid takes a little break here. Tucker wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Tucker is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but McQuaid has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Tucker has the hooks in. McQuaid is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Well, with Tucker on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before McQuaid is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

A close second round but Tim Tucker will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



McQuaid feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Tucker is trying to control the position but McQuaid postures up.
McQuaid lands a couple of decent looking shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tucker wants to sweep here but McQuaid controlling him for the moment.

McQuaid drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McQuaid jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Tucker tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but McQuaid wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Adam McQuaid overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Tucker pushes McQuaid away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, McQuaid gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

McQuaid tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McQuaid has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Tucker is trying to get back to half guard.
McQuaid in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
McQuaid is staying tight to Tucker's torso, preventing him from escaping.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Tucker drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Tucker is looking to take a break and control but McQuaid is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

McQuaid regains half guard there - taking advantage of Tucker's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Adam McQuaid showed his dominance in that final round.
