Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Harry Callahan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Beast!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Callahan lands.
Callahan avoids the body shot from Beast.
Beast jabs Callahan to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Callahan throws a push kick but Beast slaps the foot to one side.
Beast misses with a hook. Callahan ducked under it nicely.
Callahan tried to score with a low kick but Beast checks it.

Callahan gets the takedown into side control.
Callahan postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Beast keeping his opponent close.
Beast gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Beast is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Callahan goes for an armbar but Beast turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Beast.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Callahan throws his legs up looking for a submission but Beast uses it to pass to side control.
Callahan is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Beast's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Callahan wants to control but Beast is keeping busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Callahan wants to get back to full guard.
Beast is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Callahan reverses the position - he's now on top in Beast's guard.
Beast avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Callahan trying to control but Beast is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Callahan postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Beast is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Callahan, into his guard.


That's three minutes gone in the round.

Callahan has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Beast is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Callahan.
Callahan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Beast wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Beast tries to advance to mount but can't.
Callahan tries to improve position but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Beast taking a breather here.
Callahan tries to buck Beast off but Beast is having none of it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Beast content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Harry Callahan will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Callahan throws a head kick but Beast moves out of range.
Beast swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Callahan takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Beast connects with a looping right hand.

Beast closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Callahan throws a head punch that misses.
Still in the clinch, Beast scores with a nice short uppercut.
Beast misses with a hook to the ribs.

Callahan has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Beast clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Beast wants to escape the position.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Callahan. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Beast is trying to escape under a series of strikes and manages to escape from Callahan 's hooks.
Callahan postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Beast looks a forlorn figure.

Beast tries to reverse the position but Callahan maintains control.
Beast wants to hold on but Callahan pushes him away.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Callahan content just to control the position here.
Callahan lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Beast holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Callahan tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Harry Callahan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Callahan sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Callahan throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Beast because Callahan loaded up on that one.

Callahan avoids the attempt from Beast to control.
Callahan looking to land elbow strikes but Beast uses the position to regain half guard.
Callahan is trying to control the action in half guard but Beast is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Callahan not landing any meaningful shots this time.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Callahan thows a huge punch but Beast dodges it nicely.

Callahan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Callahan thuds his right hand into Beast's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Beast keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Callahan drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Callahan throws the left hand but Beast avoids the punch easily.

Beast pushes Callahan up against the cage in a clinch.
Callahan struggles to land a body shot inside as Beast controls his hands.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Beast can't find room to land a body shot as Callahan controls the action.

Callahan thuds his shin into the meat of Beast's side.
Beast feints and then cracks Callahan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Callahan down.
A jab from Callahan finds it's way through Beast's defenses.

Callahan throws out a loose jab but Beast uses good head movement to avoid it.
Callahan tries to work over Beast's front leg with a kick but Beast checks it.

Harry Callahan is winning the standup battle so far.
Beast throws a body punch but Callahan moves out of range.
Callahan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Beast can do to turn this around?

Callahan throws a wild body kick that Beast sees coming a mile off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Callahan throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Beast tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Callahan was well out of range. Poor timing from Beast.

Beast thuds a left hand into Callahan's body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A little jabbing left from Beast on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Billy Beast is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Callahan scores with a hook.
Beast takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

and Beast counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Callahan connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Beast throws a one two combo.
Callahan throws a head kick that Beast semi-blocks.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Beast tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Callahan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Beast slips under a jab from Callahan.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Beast waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Callahan.

Beast darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Callahan displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Beast throws out the jab.

Beast digs a right hand into Callahan's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Callahan's gas tank.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Callahan is rocked!
Beast goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Oh Callahan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Beast tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Callahan seems to have got his legs back now.
Callahan misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Beast fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Beast lands a shot to the body.
Billy Beast seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Beast lands with a left to the head.
Beast misses with a hook to the ribs.
Beast scores with a shoulder strike.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Beast creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Beast doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Billy Beast comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Callahan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
