Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Leo Galante!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rob Callard!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galante lands a nice leg kick that just misses Callard's sensitive parts.
Galante thows a body kick. Callard tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Galante has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Callard throws a nice inside leg kick.
Leo Galante seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fighters circle momentarily. Galante darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Galante keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Galante looks to score with a jab to the body but Callard is just out of range.
Callard scores with a shot to the body.
Callard slips a straight right by Galante.
Galante misses with a body shot.
Callard blocks a leg kick.
Galante tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Callard throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Callard connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Callard looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Galante takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A low kick from Galante is predictable there

and Callard counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Callard throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Callard looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Galante might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Galante has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Callard is working away from the top position though.
Galante keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Callard slips a nice elbow through Galante's hands, connecting with Galante's forehead.
Galante is staying active underneath Callard, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Galante wants to control but Callard passes into side.
Callard wants to control but Galante is keeping him busy.

Galante tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Callard wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Galante is trying to control Callard's posture but Callard avoids it.
Galante isn't going anywhere.
Callard working away.
Callard misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Galante tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Callard trying to control the action but Galante is working from the bottom.
Galante tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Callard landing shots from mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Galante wants to control but Callard is having none of it.
Callard is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Callard has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Callard cracks Galante with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.


Galante is rocked!
Callard postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Galante badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Callard around the waist but Callard pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Callard is the winner by TKO! Callard jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rob Callard!
Rob Callard thanked the fans post fight for their support.
