Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Maurice Lester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Chamberlain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tony Chamberlain has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Maurice Lester!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tony Chamberlain!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Phil Schofield and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chamberlain fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lester looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Chamberlain closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Chamberlain scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Chamberlain throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Chamberlain has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Lester fails with the takedown.
Chamberlain misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lester changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Lester closes this distance looking for a takedown but Chamberlain circles away.

Chamberlain dives in and scores a takedown into Lester's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lester is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Lester wants to sweep but no luck.
Chamberlain postures up.
Lester is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chamberlain slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Chamberlain forces his way into half guard.
Chamberlain scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Chamberlain is trying to control the action in half guard but Lester is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Lester trying to hold on to Chamberlain's head to control him but Chamberlain postures up.
Lester is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Chamberlain is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Lester tries to get to full guard but Chamberlain has control of the leg.
Chamberlain wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lester keeps working.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Chamberlain tries to bum rush Lester with a series of wild strikes but Lester uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lester fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maurice Lester. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A head kick misses from Chamberlain.

Chamberlain rushes Lester and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Chamberlain wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Lester is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lester is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Lester prevents a takedown attempt there.

Chamberlain breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Chamberlain works over Lester's head and body with a nice combination.
Lester throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chamberlain's waist but Chamberlain gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lester off to one side.
Chamberlain leaves Lester with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Chamberlain pushes Lester up against the cage in a clinch.

Chamberlain manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Lester postures up in Chamberlain's guard and throws a big left but Chamberlain blocks it.
Chamberlain is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Lester dives into side control.
Chamberlain is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Lester is controlling him well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Lester has hold of Chamberlain's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Chamberlain seems comfortable defending it but Lester has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Chamberlain is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Chamberlain is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Lester couldn't care less - he's delighted!
