PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Judo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bojan Vladislav (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Judo's entrance music is Da Mystery of Chessboxin by Wu-Tang Clan. A fine choice. Bojan Vladislav has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Judo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bojan Vladislav!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Judo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Vladislav circles away.
Judo misses with a takedown attempt - Vladislav sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Vladislav keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Vladislav walks into a left hand.

Judo fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Vladislav to the ground. Judo is now in Vladislav's guard.
Judo is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Judo seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Vladislav has recovered full guard.

Judo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Judo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Judo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Judo trying to control the position from guard on top but Vladislav is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Judo working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Vladislav's head.

Vladislav is pulling down on Judo's head to control his posture.
Vladislav looking to hit a scissor sweep but Judo is one step ahead there.
Judo is working Vladislav over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Judo passes Vladislav's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Judo seems to be working for a kimura but Vladislav defends the submission attempt.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Judo connects with a nice short shot to Vladislav's temple.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Vladislav is trying to control the position but Judo postures up.
Judo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Vladislav working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Judo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Judo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Vladislav pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Judo shoots in and drives through. Vladislav sprawls well.
Judo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A countering left hand to the body from Vladislav misses.
Judo has been working on his balance at , so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Vladislav.
Sloppy strikes from Vladislav. Those never looked like landing.

Judo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Vladislav manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A jab from Judo finds it's way through Vladislav's defenses.

Judo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vladislav sprawls well initially but Judo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Judo thows a huge punch but Vladislav dodges it nicely.

Judo has hold of Vladislav's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Vladislav tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Judo cranks the arm and Vladislav screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Vladislav, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jack Judo!
Jack Judo looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'Can I get a Shucky Ducky Quack Quack?'.
