Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jandre Vorster!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Murphy!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vorster takes the fight into the clinch.
Vorster is trying to drag Murphy to the mat but Murphy just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Murphy is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Vorster can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jandre Vorster. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Murphy trying to control the position but instead, Vorster has worked for underhooks and has pushed Murphy into the cage.
Murphy stops a takedown attempt from Vorster.
Murphy gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Vorster.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Murphy tries to circle away but Vorster has him pinned against the cage.
Vorster tries to score a body lock takedown but Murphy shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Vorster drops down looking for an ankle pick but Murphy pulls his leg out and moves away.

Vorster gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Murphy counters with a nice uppercut.
Vorster wants to clinch but Murphy slips to the side
and Murphy cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Vorster tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Murphy counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Vorster gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Vorster pulls guard successfully.
Vorster escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Murphy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Murphy trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Vorster has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Murphy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Vorster looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Murphy not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Murphy pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Vorster is keeping the position for now.
Murphy is still trying to improve position.
Vorster throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Vorster looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Murphy wants to pass the guard but Vorster is keeping the position.
Murphy has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Vorster to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Murphy is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Vorster pulls down on the head and he's put Murphy to sleep! This one is all over!

In his post fight interview, Jandre Vorster started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
