Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jaakko Parantainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Parantainen might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Eminem - White America . Brown is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Needle In The Hay. Anthony Brown has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jaakko Parantainen's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parantainen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brown moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Brown has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Brown and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Brown drops back looking for a leg! Parantainen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Parantainen manages to kick Brown off! Brown jumps back into Parantainen's guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Brown working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Parantainen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Parantainen is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Brown is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Parantainen is just riding it out for now. Brown eventually gives up the hold.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brown postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Parantainen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Brown, into his guard.

I would just about give that final round to Anthony Brown.

During a confident post fight interview, Anthony Brown thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
Jaakko Parantainen spoke after the fight, saying 'Wow good job old man. I got beat by a 40 yr old. Way to go bro.'.
