PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bert Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Shelby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shelby has chosen Red Right Hand as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drago swats away the attempt to clinch by Shelby.
Shelby goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Drago has taken the fight to the clinch.
Shelby is trying to pull guard but Drago turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Drago lands a left hand.
Shelby blocks a punch to the side of the head.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Drago.

Shelby looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shelby gets a trip takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Shelby misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Shelby can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Drago is looking to escape.

Drago seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Bert Drago is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Shelby swings for the body but Drago moves out of range.

Drago gets in close and instigates a clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, Shelby throws an elbow but misses.
Drago lands a left hand that snaps the head of Shelby backwards.
A nice right hand lands inside from Drago.
Drago struggles to land a body shot inside as Shelby controls his hands.
Drago scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Shelby has Drago pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Drago manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Shelby breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Shelby wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Shelby wants to get back to striking at distance but Drago won't allow it.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Shelby is still looking wobbly from the end of the last round!
Shelby looks up at the clock. Bad move! Drago lands a right hand from hell, dropping Shelby. Drago pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

A less than humble Bert Drago misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
