Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Patryk Szczerbiec (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Patryk Szczerbiec!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin James!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szczerbiec throws a leg kick that misses.
James lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
James moves into range and connects with a jab.
Szczerbiec shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Szczerbiec has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from James finds it's way round the side to connect with Szczerbiec's head.
James throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
James moves out of range of the strikes.
James takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
James uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Szczerbiec.
James throws a hook but Szczerbiec blocks it.
Some bone on bone action there as James checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Szczerbiec throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by James.
Szczerbiec tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
James changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Szczerbiec scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
James feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Szczerbiec's calf.
Szczerbiec takes a body punch but keeps moving.

James lands with a hook. Szczerbiec tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
James fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Szczerbiec looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Szczerbiec avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
It looked like Szczerbiec was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Szczerbiec throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Szczerbiec throws a nice outside leg kick.
James throws an overhand right that lands on Szczerbiec's shoulder, as Szczerbiec tries to avoid the shot.

James looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Szczerbiec!
Szczerbiec is pushing James's head away, looking to escape. James manages to hold on to the position though.
Szczerbiec has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
James wants to lay and pray for a moment but Szczerbiec keeps working.

James tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no James has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
James misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Szczerbiec gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Szczerbiec is bucking up trying to escape but James cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Szczerbiec is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Szczerbiec is in a horrible position here. James smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Szczerbiec is rocked!
James has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
James drops a big elbow. That's hurt Szczerbiec! More shots from James and the ref steps in! The fight is over!

A relieved looking Kevin James thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
