Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chico Morales!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morales lands with a right hand.

It looks like Jarrod Holmes has been cut.
A good leg kick by Morales.
Holmes stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Morales.
A head kick misses from Morales.
No luck for Holmes with that takedown attempt.
Morales throws a leg kick

and Holmes counters with a nice double leg into side control. Morales won't be happy with that.
Morales tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Holmes takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Morales wants to try and get back to his feet.
Holmes sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Holmes has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee warns Morales that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Holmes is working for a guillotine from mount but Morales frees his head quite easily.
Holmes controlling the pace for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Holmes.

Holmes attempts a counter takedown but Morales avoids it well and moves away.

Holmes is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Morales.
Holmes slips a straight right by Morales.
Morales misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Morales throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Holmes is rocked!
Morales lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Holmes falls backwards - clearly groggy! Morales dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
