Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maxx Elorde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Plaskota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Maxx Elorde has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Maxx Elorde seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Chad Campbell and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plaskota shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Elorde's guard.
Plaskota trying to control but Elorde is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Plaskota passes Elorde's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Plaskota seems to be working for a kimura but Elorde defends the submission attempt.
Plaskota thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Plaskota is controlling the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Elorde is in trouble now - Plaskota has advanced to mount!
Plaskota tries to control but Elorde wriggling away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Plaskota with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Elorde is looking to improve his position but Plaskota isn't that keen on the idea.
Plaskota jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Elorde manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Elorde is not content to let Plaskota control the position.
Plaskota is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Elorde looks calm but he's in trouble here. Plaskota gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Elorde is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Plaskota lets go of the hold and Elorde can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Mike Plaskota!
