PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juilius Caesar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Owen Leidner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Owen Leidner told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Caesar fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Leidner sprawls well initially but Caesar persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Caesar is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Leidner doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Caesar.
Caesar tries to stand but can't do so whilst Leidner controls his leg.
Leidner is trying to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Caesar prevents Leidner from standing back up.

Caesar's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Caesar seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Leidner won't allow Caesar to pass to mount.
Leidner tries to roll over but Caesar keeps him under control.

Caesar quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Caesar but it's paid off an Leidner is forced to tap! Nice work by Caesar.
