Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Andries Habel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fernando Vazquez!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Ryoma Takatsuka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Habel scores with a hook.
The fight stays on the outside here - Vazquez looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Habel throws a quick counter kick to the body but Vazquez avoids it.
Vazquez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Vazquez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Habel manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nice defenses there by Vazquez.
Vazquez avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Habel misses with an attempted mid kick.
Habel sets himself, and Vazquez steps forward looking for the clinch! Habel avoids it this time.

Vazquez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Habel napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Habel is looking to regain half guard here but Vazquez keeps moving and retains side control.
Habel manages to work his way to half guard, despite Vazquez's best efforts.
Vazquez is keen to just control but Habel is a slippery customer.
Vazquez thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Habel is looking for a sweep. Vazquez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Habel regains full guard. Nicely done.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vazquez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Habel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Vazquez stays in close to Habel's body and controls the position.

Habel working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vazquez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vazquez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vazquez wants to control from the top but Habel keeps moving.

Vazquez has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Habel to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Vazquez is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Habel pulls down on the head and he's put Vazquez to sleep! This one is all over!
