Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Kale Andrews!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Nisk!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Andrews closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Andrews lands in his opponent's guard.
Andrews looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Nisk had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Andrews defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nisk pushes Andrews off and scrambles back to his feet.
Andrews swats away the attempt to clinch by Nisk.
Nisk rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Andrews moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Nisk has managed to clinch.
Nisk looking to stall.
Andrews tries for a takedown. No joy.
Nisk is trying to stall.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Andrews tries to pull guard but Nisk holds him up against the cage and eventually Andrews drops back down to his feet.
Andrews tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Nisk smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kale Andrews. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Andrews stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Andrews wants it to stay on the feet.
Nisk dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Nisk pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nisk doesn't manage to clinch there - Andrews circles away.
Nisk tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Andrews paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Andrews seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Nisk misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nisk tries to close the distance and clinch up but Andrews swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nisk tries to close the distance and clinch but Andrews swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nisk slips a jab and a cross from Andrews.

Nisk tries a head kick but it misses.

Nisk closes the distance and clinches.
Nisk just leaning against Andrews, taking a breather.
Andrews is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Nisk gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Andrews avoiding damage as Nisk throws knees to the body.
Andrews is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Nisk to keep the fight standing.
Nisk's coach down at Next Level Training $550 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Nisk's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
A bit of stalling here from Nisk.

Andrews looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
A slow jab from Nisk misses its intended target.
Andrews keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Nisk closes the distance and clinches.

Andrews fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Nisk pulls guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Andrews accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Andrews is sitting in close to Nisk's body. Nisk has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Andrews is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Andrews is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Nisk.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Mike Nisk!
Mike Nisk looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'I want to thank DX, my grappling schools, and everyone else in life that gave me a shot at this. The time is now. I won't let you down.'.
