Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okiro ducks under a wild hook from Bourque.

Bourque wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Okiro lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

I was talking to Bourque's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Bourque throws a big counter combination but Okiro scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Okiro throws a front kick aimed at Bourque's knee but Bourque avoids it well.

Okiro connects with a right hand. Bourque shakes it off.

Okiro paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Bourque takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Okiro fakes the leg kick and cracks Bourque in the body.
Bourque is breathing heavily.
Bourque tries to close the distance and clinch but Okiro swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Okiro steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Bourque.
The fighters circling - Bourque throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Okiro cracks Bourque with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
The fight stays on the outside here - Okiro looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Okiro tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bourque swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Okiro throws a body shot but no joy.

Okiro lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A telegraphed right hand from Bourque misses the target.
Nice uppercut lands for Okiro. That snapped Bourque's head back.
A punch combination from Okiro misses.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Okiro.
Okiro bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bourque's head backwards.

Bourque moves into the clinch.
Bourque trying to control the position but instead, Okiro has worked for underhooks and has pushed Bourque into the cage.

Bourque breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bourque takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Okiro throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Okiro feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bourque's calf.

Bourque steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Okiro. That one must have hurt.

Lyon Okiro seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

and Okiro takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bourque throws a nice looking combination but Okiro bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bourque looks to land a left hand but Okiro moved out of range nicely.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Okiro is leaning against Bourque and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Bourque swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Bourque misses with some punches.
Bourque is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Bourque's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Okiro manages to break the clinch.
Okiro fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bourque on the side of the head.
Bourque's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Okiro connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bourque scrambles back to his feet.
Okiro cracks Bourque with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Bourque tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Okiro pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Bourque is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
