The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slayer throws a big shot that misses.
Balas throws a body punch but Slayer moves out of range.
Slayer has taken the fight to the clinch.
Balas manages to break the clinch.
Slayer clinches with his opponent.

Balas tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Balas stalling in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Slayer pulls guard effortlessly.
Slayer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Balas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Balas manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Slayer looking for a triangle here. Balas is fighting it but it looks tight! Slayer pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Balas is tapping out - this one is all over!

A relieved looking Gustav Slayer thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
