Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Grey Wolf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JR Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adams has chosen 'Looking For The Stone' by Dry Branch Fire Squad as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Grey Wolf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, JR Adams!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wolf fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wolf misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wolf throws a body shot but no joy.
Wolf takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Adams instigates a clinch.
Come on Adams - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Adams comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.


It looks like Grey Wolf has been cut.
Wolf blocks the elbow strike.

Adams jumps guard and drags Wolf to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Adams looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Adams working a defensive guard here.
Adams wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Wolf stopping the sweep attempt from Adams.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wolf wanted to stand there but Adams had control of the position.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Wolf cracks Adams with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.


It looks like JR Adams has been cut.
Wolf misses with the combination.
Adams tries to bum rush Wolf with a series of wild strikes but Wolf uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Adams bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Wolf tries to bench press Adams off him but Adams keeps the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Adams trying to control the action but Wolf is working from the bottom.
Wolf wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Wolf trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Wolf tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Wolf is trying to escape the position but Adams is controlling the position.
Wolf tries to bench press Adams off him but Adams keeps the position.
Adams connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Wolf some visible discomfort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wolf taking punishment in the form of punches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Adams wants to control for a moment but Wolf uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Wolf wants to improve his position but Adams is controlling well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Adams looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Adams is nestled in close to Wolf, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Adams prevents Wolf from improving his position.
Wolf wants to get back to full guard but Adams has mounted him!
Wolf's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
The referee warns Wolf that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Wolf tries to improve his position but Adams has taken his back! Adams has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Wolf tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Adams pushes Wolf away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). JR Adams!
A relieved looking JR Adams thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
