Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jan Bodahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Isamu Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jan Bodahl!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Isamu Li!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Li.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Li postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Bodahl throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Li escapes and throws Bodahl's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Li thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Li decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bodahl to his feet.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Bodahl stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Li swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Li bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bodahl's guard.

Li throws a big right hand that misses.
Li pushing down on Bodahl's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Bodahl is looking for a sweep. Li is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Li looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bodahl with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Bodahl is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Li pulls his head out easily.

Bodahl is staying active underneath Li, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Li lands a nice short elbow.
Bodahl has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Li is working away from the top position though.
Bodahl wants to improve his position but Li is controlling well.
Bodahl is not content to let Li control the position.
Li content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Bodahl manages to get to full guard.

Li is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Li drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Li wants to control but Bodahl is keeping him busy.

Bodahl is trying to improve his position.

Li wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bodahl, who protects the arm well.
Bodahl trying to control but Li flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Li cracks Bodahl with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Bodahl from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Isamu Li showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Bodahl's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


No luck with that takedown attempt from Bodahl.

Bodahl postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Li is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bodahl, into his guard.

Bodahl is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Li defends well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Li is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bodahl knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
You can see the frustration on Bodahl's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Li perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Li showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bodahl.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Li closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Isamu Li comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Li winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Isamu Li rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
