Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simbo Klice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peyton Hillis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peyton Hillis!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klice walks into a jab.
Hillis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Klice throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Klice takes a swing at Hillis's ribcage but misses.
Hillis stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Klice.
A slow jab from Klice misses its intended target.
Klice uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hillis.
Hillis moves into range and connects with a jab.
Klice swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Hillis counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Hillis slips a jab and a cross from Klice.
Hillis swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Klice scores with a body shot.
Klice lands a nice shot to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Klice throws a leg kick but Hillis sees it coming and moves out of range.
Klice misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Klice throws a low kick but Hillis avoids it.
Klice connects with a jab.


It looks like Peyton Hillis has been cut.
Hillis misses with the combination.
Klice swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Hillis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hillis moves out of range as Klice strikes.
Hillis throws out a counter right but Klice avoids it with no problem.
Klice throws a leg kick but Hillis sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Klice fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hillis has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Hillis takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Hillis takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Klice ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hillis moves away.
Good leg kick by Klice there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Hillis misses with a left hand
and Klice counters with a nice uppercut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hillis lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Klice attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Klice cracks a nice hook into Hillis's ribs.
Hillis looks to land a combination but Klice avoids it well.
A little feinted left hand from Klice on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Klice scores with a nice strike.
Hillis throws a shot from downtown. Klice moves away and avoids it.
Klice misses with a body shot.
Klice misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hillis.
Klice is looking to wear down Hillis with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Hillis throws a combination that misses
and Klice counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hillis's knee momentarily.
Hillis might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Hillis avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hillis looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Klice throws a chopping leg kick but Hillis manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Klice gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Klice looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Klice misses with a hook.
Klice walks into a stiff left hand from Hillis.
Klice walks into a left hand.
Simbo Klice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Klice. Hillis does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Hillis counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Hillis unleashes a big counter combination but Klice bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Hillis throws an overhand right that lands on Klice's shoulder, as Klice tries to avoid the shot.
Klice thows a leg kick but Hillis checks it
and Hillis counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Klice throws a nice looking combination but Hillis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Klice misses with a leg kick
and Hillis counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Klice paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Hillis misses with a series of wild punches.
Klice misses with a straight left.
As Klice backs off Hillis throws a huge counter combo but Klice manages to avoid it all.
Hillis swinging wildly here.
Hillis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Simbo Klice will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Peyton Hillis's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Hillis moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Hillis throws an off balance right hand
and Klice cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Klice misses with an uppercut. Hillis saw that one coming.
Klice misses with a left hand
and Hillis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Klice needs to keep his hands up - Hillis had a free shot at his head there.
Hillis bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Klice's head backwards.
Peyton Hillis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Klice with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hillis to score with a decent uppercut.
Hillis connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Klice misses with a double jab
and Hillis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Klice lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Klice throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Hillis to counter with a crisp jab.

Oooooh!!! Klice has knocked Hillis down with a huge combo! Klice steps away and waves a wobbly Hillis back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Hillis is rocked!

Hillis takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hillis is still on wobbly legs! Can Klice finish him?
Klice darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Hillis's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Klice before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Simbo Klice!
Simbo Klice gave a mention to Australian Xtreme Elite Supplements 160Q in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
